Travel benefits

The ability to get out and about is important to everyone, but
sometimes difficult for older or disabled people.
The following schemes are available to help older people
and those with mobility difficulties get around more
easily:
- Blue Badge Scheme - parking
concessions for disabled people with severe mobility problems who
have difficulty using public transport
- Mobility Card Scheme - door
to door transport service for disabled residents
- Freedom Passes scheme - free
travel on London's public transport and local bus services in
England
- Taxicard
scheme - Subsidised door-to-door transport for people who have
serious mobility impairment and difficulty in using public
transport
