Drug and alcohol misuse
Misuse of drugs and/or alcohol can seriously affect individuals,
families and communities.
If you are affected by this, our specialist
teams can provide support.

Drug and Alcohol Service
The Drug and Alcohol Service is for people wishing to stop
using drugs or to establish stability in their
pattern of drug and/or alcohol use.
This service is provided by the North East London Foundation
Trust (NELFT).
Drug Intervention Programme
The Drug Intervention Programme is a service aimed at offenders
with Class A (heroin and cocaine) drug misuse
problems.
The service works with offenders who present
themselves within the criminal justice system and aims to
break the cycle of crime and drugs by providing appropriate
treatment.
The team can offer help with:
- drug assessments
- referrals into drug treatment
- referrals to help people re-build their lives such as housing,
education training
- liaising with criminal justice services and treatment
agencies
- counselling
- support for families and partners
