Who is the service for?

People living with HIV or Aids and families and children affected by the virus

How does the service help?

The service can provide:

  • access to counselling services
  • help in coping with a recent HIV diagnosis
  • help in dealing with bereavement, loneliness and isolation
  • help to handle day-to-day living
  • advice on benefits, financial and housing matters
  • assistance to parents in planning for their children’s future care
  • care services including personal/home care, community meals and equipment and adaptations.

How do I access the service?

If you think that you will benefit from any of the services provided, we will need to carry out an assessment of what your needs are. If you are eligible then the team will contact you to set up the service.

Do I have to pay?

The cost of the service will depend on your personal circumstance and this will be discussed with you once a financial assessment has been carried out.

We need to ask for financial information so that your contribution is at an amount you can afford to pay.
