Adult Social Services
You can make a complaint, comment or compliment
about:
- a service you are receiving or have received and/or
- a decision made by Adult Social Services

The complaints, comments and compliments that we receive
are important to help us improve and develop our
services.
How to make a complaint, comment or compliment?
Only if your enquiry is Adult Social Services related,
please contact the Complaints Team using one of the
methods below.
For all other complaints, comments or compliments please
visit the Council's complaints
page.
Complaints
If you decide to make a compliant, you will be asked which of
the four options you would like to take to help you settle the
complaint:
- resolution meeting – informal meeting with relevant staff to
discuss issues
- mediation – independent person who meets each party
separately
- paper review – a formal, written response
- investigation – carried out by an independent investigator
If you are not satisfied with the result, you can choose to take
any of the other options.
If you are still unhappy following this process, you may wish to
refer your complaint to the Local Government Ombudsman. The Local
Government Ombudsman is a free service and will look into your
complaint and advice you accordingly.
Comments and Compliments
Compliments assist the Council in monitoring the quality of
services; they highlight what we are doing well and provide good
feedback for staff. If you have had a good experience or believe a
member of staff has provided an exceptional service, please let us
know.
