Complaints

If you decide to make a compliant, you will be asked which of the four options you would like to take to help you settle the complaint:

  • resolution meeting – informal meeting with relevant staff to discuss issues
  • mediation – independent person who meets each party separately
  • paper review – a formal, written response
  • investigation – carried out by an independent investigator

If you are not satisfied with the result, you can choose to take any of the other options.

If you are still unhappy following this process, you may wish to refer your complaint to the Local Government Ombudsman. The Local Government Ombudsman is a free service and will look into your complaint and advice you accordingly.

Comments and Compliments

Compliments assist the Council in monitoring the quality of services; they highlight what we are doing well and provide good feedback for staff. If you have had a good experience or believe a member of staff has provided an exceptional service, please let us know.
